Role description
Description Join a leading AI lab’s cutting-edge GenAI team and help build foundational AI models from the ground up. We're seeking talented Math and Statistics subject-matter experts (SMEs) to bring deep domain expertise and elevate the quality of our AI training data. This is a remote, flexible opportunity to collaborate directly with the research teams of a leading AI lab. What You’ll Do β€’ Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in your Math domain. β€’ Create and maintain precise annotation standards tailored to your domain specialty. As a domain SME, you'll set the gold standard for quality and rigor. β€’ Develop guidelines and detailed rubrics/evaluation frameworks to assess Math reasoning across tasks. β€’ Design challenging, domain-relevant Math tasks across multiple specializations, and write accurate and well-structured solutions to Math problems. β€’ Evaluate Math tasks and solutions and provide clear, written feedback. β€’ Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy in training data. Qualifications β€’ Location: Currently living in the US β€’ Education: A Master's or Ph.D. degree from a top-tier university relevant to the domain of Mathematics OR Industry-recognized credentials like IMO/Putnam medalists. β€’ Experience: Have 3+ years of professional experience in a math-centered role at a reputable institution. β€’ Domain expertise in 1 or more of the following: β€’ Foundations β€’ Arithmetic β€’ Algebra β€’ Geometry β€’ Trigonometry β€’ Calculus β€’ Probability and Statistics β€’ Number Theory β€’ Topology What We Offer β€’ Pay rate between $110 and $130 per hour. β€’ Flexible, remote work that will have a significant impact on the development of advanced AI models. β€’ Initial commitment of 18 weeks, with potential to extend based on project needs and performance. β€’ Ideal commitment of ~40hrs/week with a minimum availability of ~20 hrs/week.
