We use digital data as the fuel to propel us beyond our competition. As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll lead projects that develop and perform complex analyses using Big Data technologies. You’ll be constantly on the lookout for new modeling techniques, evolving technologies, and emerging industry trends so that we can stay ahead of the game. Your work will help us meet our customers’ needs and make it even easier for them to do business with us. With an eye towards improving performance and predictability, you like the science of analytics. Developing resolutions to complex problems, using your sharp judgment to develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria allows you to deliver solutions that make a huge impact. You’re able to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, and you take pride in your ability to share your considerable knowledge with your peers. • Responsible for leading the design and implementation of processes and layouts for complex, large-scale data sets used for modeling, data mining, and research purposes. • Leads the design and build of large and complex data sets from spurious sources while thinking strategically about uses of data and how data use interacts with data design. • Works with key stakeholders to generate hypotheses and create analytic models that answer impactful business questions. • Develop resolutions to complex problems that require the use of creativity and makes decisions that impact projects and staff members. • Lead discussions with business clients on large-scale solution requests and begin determining data requirements and statistical methodologies. • Design and implement processes and layouts for complex, large-scale data sets used for modeling, data mining, and research purposes, implementing standard processes for peers to utilize. • Design and build large and complex data sets, from spurious sources while thinking strategically about uses of data and how data interacts with the design. • Develops end-to-end large-scale models, starting with complex distributed data processing, creating an analysis framework, developing custom complex visualization tools, and deploying web applications. • Develop and implement standardized models and procedures for other data scientists and teams to utilize for future projects and designs. • Design and implement large-scale statistical data quality procedures around new data sources. • Develop and design data validation and updating procedures for teams to utilize. • Visualize and report data findings creatively in a variety of visual formats that appropriately provides insights to the organization. • Drive continuous improvement to the company's models, leveraging the latest industry knowledge and methods on AI and data science. Job Qualifications • Performing analyses to find actionable insights. • Developing systems, applications, and visual dashboards. • Conducting and guiding others through system usage assessments. • Ensuring data quality and promoting process improvement. • Handling security threats, and growing the dependability and reliability of our network through tools and software. • Degree in business intelligence and analytics, computer science, or mathematics, Master’s degree. • Experience with visualization tools, like Tableau. • Experience with Data Warehousing or Teradata SQL. • Knowledge of distributive computing tools, like Hive or Spark. • Experience with SiteCatalyst/Clickstream. • Experience with programming languages, like Java, Python, or Scala. • Bachelor’s degree or ten or more years of work experience. • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training. • Experience as a data scientist, analyst, or statistical modeler.
