Job Description: Senior Data Scientist (Level IV) β AI/NLP Focus
Location: Greenwood Village, CO (Hybrid β 2β3 days onsite/week)
Duration: W2 Contract (Budget approved; potential for extension)
Pay Range: DOE ($70-$80/hour)
About the Team & Projects:
Join our Fortune 500 clientβs Data Science team, a high-impact group driving AI innovation across the organization. Youβll contribute to flagship initiatives like:
- A classification model that routes customer escalation tickets to the right teams using NLP and metadata.
- An internal LLM-based summarization tool transforming long-form customer feedback into actionable insights.
- Customer Journey Feedback: Centralizing data sources to uncover pain points and improve customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Build and deploy ML models focused on classification and NLP
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business pain points and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Work with rich text data (e.g., escalation tickets, NPS surveys, metadata) to extract insights
- Integrate multiple data sources (10+) and navigate existing data lakes (AWS)
- Contribute to model enablement using tools like Airflow and MLflow
- Document and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements:
Required:
- 4+ years of industry experience in data science or ML
- Strong Python and SQL skills (build data sets, etc.)
- Experience working with text data and NLP techniques
- Ability to understand business context and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Curiosity and initiative in exploring data and building models
Nice to Have:
- Experience with LLMs, embeddings, tokenization, and prompt engineering
- Familiarity with XGBoost, Airflow, MLflow
- Telecom industry experience
- Scala experience (for legacy workflows)
Interview Process:

-Round 2: Panel interview focused on problem-solving and business understanding
