We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with expertise in Azure Cloud, Databricks, and Big Data Analytics to support cutting-edge technologies for large-scale enterprise environments. As a technical and business expert, you will drive solutions for complex data engineering and machine learning challenges, guiding senior leadership on technology strategy, optimizing systems, and leading the migration to modern cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
β’ Lead the migration of ETL workloads into Azure/Databricks, optimizing data pipelines and integrating machine learning models.
β’ Design and implement scalable and cost-effective cloud-based solutions (Azure, Databricks, Spark, etc.) to support high-volume data analytics and machine learning workflows.
β’ Collaborate with senior client officials to assess organizational effectiveness and recommend strategic cloud-based improvements.
β’ Support the deployment, configuration, and management of the Azure Cloud environment, ensuring efficient operation and troubleshooting.
β’ Mentor and guide ETL and data engineering teams on best practices for cloud resource utilization, automation, and workflow optimization.
β’ Automate routine tasks, standardize processes, and ensure the consistent quality of deliverables.
β’ Present status updates and technical insights to CIO leadership, making complex topics understandable for non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Produce documentation for cloud service deployments, workflows, and best practices, ensuring clarity and sustainability for teams.
β’ Participate in knowledge transfer sessions, sharing insights on infrastructure monitoring, application troubleshooting, and security practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
β’ 15+ years of experience in IT systems architecture, cloud engineering, or data science.
β’ 10+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud solutions, with a proven track record of mentoring teams and managing project implementations.
β’ Expertise in Azure Cloud Operations, including experience with Azure services (compute, networking, databases).
β’ Hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and related technologies for cloud-based data engineering and analytics.
β’ Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Ruby for automation and data processing.
β’ Strong understanding of ETL processes and tools, and experience optimizing cloud-based ETL operations.
β’ Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Git for version control and continuous deployment.
β’ Familiarity with open-source technologies like Hadoop, Flume, and Sqoop.
β’ Strong problem-solving skills with expertise in troubleshooting complex systems and resolving technical issues in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
β’ Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and analytical platforms like SAS and Hadoop.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Skills
β’ Experience with cloud networking at scale and the ability to explain complex networking concepts in simple terms.
β’ Expertise in PowerShell scripting and Shell scripting for automation and cloud operations.
β’ Deep knowledge of machine learning frameworks, NLP, and big data analytics.
Knowledge Transfer Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be expected to conduct knowledge-transfer sessions for the following areas:
β’ Infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting.

Education & Certification
