Senior Data Scientist – Computer Vision & AI - Contract
📍 Location: United States (Hybrid/Remote options available)
On behalf of our client, we're looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join a high-impact AI and Data Science organization that is transforming critical infrastructure through advanced analytics, machine learning, and computer vision.
This is an opportunity to work on complex, real-world problems where your models will directly influence business decisions, operational efficiency, and the development of next-generation AI solutions.
Contract Duration: 4-month contract with high potential for extension based on business needs and performance.
What You'll Be Doing
• Lead the end-to-end development of machine learning and computer vision solutions, from discovery through deployment.
• Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to identify high-value AI opportunities.
• Design, build, and optimize predictive machine learning models.
• Lead computer vision initiatives, including data labeling, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Build scalable data pipelines by extracting, transforming, and preparing data from multiple sources.
• Develop clean, production-quality Python code for feature engineering and model development.
• Present technical findings and recommendations to both technical and executive audiences.
• Review and mentor other data scientists, ensuring high technical standards across the team.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and subject matter experts to deliver production-ready AI products.
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline (Master's preferred).
• 4+ years of experience in Data Science (2+ years with a relevant Master's degree).
• Strong experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Advanced Python programming skills.
• Deep understanding of statistics, feature engineering, model evaluation, and machine learning best practices.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong systems thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to Have
• Experience building Computer Vision models.
• Experience with AWS technologies such as S3, SageMaker, and Ground Truth.
• Experience mentoring or leading other Data Scientists.
