Role description
What is the position?
The Senior Data Warehouse Developer role is centered on data-focused development projects within an Enterprise Data Solutions environment. You'll be responsible for ingesting and transforming data from a wide variety of sources using modern tools and platforms, primarily on an on-premises infrastructure.
What are the responsibilities?
As a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer, you will:
β’ Develop ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL, and C# within Visual Studio.
β’ Maintain and troubleshoot metadata-driven ETL processes.
β’ Work with Azure DevOps and Git for version control and collaboration.
β’ Ingest and process multiple file types and source systems including CSVs, fixed-width files, Oracle, and Kafka.
β’ Leverage AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot to improve development efficiency and analytical capabilities
β’ Support and enhance data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes across enterprise systems
β’ Contribute to AWS-based data engineering initiatives, including integration with Amazon S3 and related services
What are the requirements?
β’ 8+ years of experience in data-centric development, primarily within on-premises SQL Server environments
β’ Advanced knowledge of SQL Server 2019 and complex SQL development
β’ Strong experience with SSIS
β’ Experience with Visual Studio and C# for maintaining and debugging code
β’ Experience working with diverse data sources (fixed-width files, sub-record type files, CSV files, Oracle, Kafka)
β’ Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows
β’ Experience utilizing AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot)
β’ 2+ years of hands-on AWS data engineering experience, including data ingestion, transformation, and integration with Amazon S3 and related services
