DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Administrator for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Raleigh, NC • This position is hybrid Responsibilities: • Data analysis and database management • Designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning • Creation of requirements for database, database schema, data maps, ERDs, application objects (i.e., tables, indexes, views, etc.) • Creation of data rules to identify areas for data cleansing • Conducting data profiling, data analysis, data cleansing, database design, database implementation, data conversion, and data governance. Knowledge and Abilities: • Able to work in a team environment as well as without assistance • Can provide input and feedback to others • Able to manage highly complex work efforts; • May have advanced education; may have extensive industry experience Required Skills: • 3 Years - Understand data structures and schemas, and implementing appropriate indexes • 5 Years - Able to create logical and physical models of data to represent relationships and ensure data integrity • 3 Years - Working knowledge of DB2 and SQL Server database management systems (DBMS) • 5 Years - Understanding of the process of extracting data from various sources, transforming it, and loading it into a database • 2 Years - Use of at least one data cleansing tool • 5 Years - Able to create and execute test cases • 5 Years - Must meet deadlines and manage multiple streams of work Desired Skills: • 3 Years - Able to identify and resolve issues within the data cleansing process • 3 Years - Able to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences • 3 Years - Able to dissect complex problems and derive insights from large datasets This opportunity is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
