We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Database Developer to join our client, on a contract and remote basis, to lead the design and maintenance of enterprise-level database systems. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI, focusing on high-quality solutions for complex business challenges. Key responsibilities include driving innovation, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of database systems. • This is a remote, contract opportunity • Requirements Key Responsibilities Database Development: • Develop, and maintain robust database systems that align with business goals and objectives • Optimize database performance, scalability, and security ETL Processes: • Develop, manage, and optimize ETL workflows using SSIS to support data migration, integration, and transformation needs • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement data pipelines Reporting and Analytics: • Design and develop dynamic and visually compelling reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reporting solutions to support business intelligence initiatives Data Governance: • Implement data validation, quality assurance, and governance best practices • Establish and enforce standards for data integrity, security, and compliance Leadership and Mentorship: • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of database developers and analysts • Conduct code reviews, share best practices, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. • Collaboration and Communication: • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions • Partner with IT teams to align database strategies with organizational objectives Qualifications And Skills • Experience: • 5+ years of hands-on experience in database development and management • Expertise in SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI • Strong experience in SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedure development • Proven experience in data modeling, database design, and performance tuning • Technical Skills: • Proficiency in developing ETL workflows, data warehousing concepts, and multidimensional/Tabular models • Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including DAX and Power Query • Familiarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL) is a plus • Soft Skills: • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills • Strong verbal and written communication abilities to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Education: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Benefits • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA) • Work From Home
