Role description
Our automotive client is seeking a Senior Developer. This role is hybrid with 4 days /week onsite in Torrance, and 1 day working from home.
As a Senior Developer, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional support to develop meaningful digital experiences and strengthen the client's customer engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support digital applications across all phases: development, production support, and solutioning.
- Build large-scale enterprise applications and backend systems.
- Develop microservices and enterprise integration solutions using various application servers and messaging systems.
- Deploy containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or Red Hat OpenShift.
- Work with serverless architectures and cloud technologies (primarily AWS).
- Manage and optimize database systems (RDMS, RDS, NoSQL, DynamoDB).
- Apply object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and modern architecture techniques.
- Collaborate in Agile development environments and leverage DevOps practices for CI/CD.
- Occasionally travel for project needs (1-2 times per year).
Requirements:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field or experience.
- 3-5 years of experience developing large-scale enterprise applications and backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE and related frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Data, JPA, Hibernate).
- Basic experience with public cloud providers (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift) and serverless architecture.
- Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, Red Hat AMQ, JMS) and application servers (JBoss/WebSphere).
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and modern IT trends.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps tools for continuous integration and deployment.
Nice to Have:
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras). - Professional certifications in relevant technologies.
