Job Title: Senior Developer Location: On-site in McLean, VA (Monday to Friday) Duration: 3-Month Contract (with potential extension) Project Overview: One of our client is looking for a Senior Developer with 5 to 8 years of experience to join a high-impact data modernization initiative. The role involves migrating a legacy system built on Informatica, SAS, AutoSys, and DB2 to a modern architecture using Python/PySpark microservices, AWS EKS, and PostgreSQL. This is a fully on-site role in McLean, VA. Key Responsibilities: • Develop microservices using Python, PySpark, and AWS EKS. • Migrate data and workflows to AWS Postgres and Snowflake. • Analyze current systems and create technical/functional documentation. • Write automated tests using Behave/Cucumber and PyTest. • Ensure code quality and security using SonarQube and Fortify. • Deploy containerized applications using Docker and Jenkins. • Collaborate with business teams to interpret BRS documents and create data mappings. • Support performance tuning, scalability, and reporting application development. Must-Have Qualifications: • Strong hands-on experience with: • PySpark, Python-based microservices • AWS EKS, PostgreSQL • Behave/Cucumber, PyTest • SAS, Informatica, AutoSys • Snowflake, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify • Proven ability to analyze legacy systems and contribute to modernization efforts. • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
