Senior Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Analyst Developer – AS400 (iSeries) to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain business applications on the AS400 platform, ensuring system stability, scalability, and performance. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain AS400/iSeries applications using RPG, RPGILE/RPGLE, CL, DB2, SQL, and Stored Procedures. • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions. • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure smooth operations. • Lead the development and enhancement of applications while maintaining focus on security, reliability, and scalability. • Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and development standards. • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers. • Ensure efficient data handling and integration using sFTP, batch jobs, and APIs/web services. Must-Have Skills & Qualifications • 10+ years of AS400/iSeries development experience. • Strong expertise in RPG, RPGILE/RPGLE, and CL programming. • Hands-on experience with DB2 for i (DB2/400), SQL, and Stored Procedures. • Proficiency with AS400 tools such as iNavigator, Hawkeye, Turnover, SEU, and RLU. • Proven ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of AS400 applications. • Experience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). • Solid background in data handling (sFTP, file transfers, batch jobs). • Exposure to application interfaces, REST APIs, and web services.
