Please reach me out msrinivas@futransolutions.com /(609)-945-2335 Job Title: Senior Eagle Development Consultant Location: Chicago, IL / Jacksonville, FL / San Mateo, CA (Onsite) Duration: 12 Months Key Responsibilities Eagle STAR & PACE Development • Design, develop, and enhance Eagle STAR and PACE solutions including Eagle Message Center, IWS, PACE Uploader & Exporter, and Eagle STAR Panels. • Architect custom APIs and SDK extensions to integrate Eagle with external platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, SimCorp, Finastra, and Snowflake). • Develop custom modules using Java, Python, or C# to automate data exchange, portfolio reconciliation, and trade enrichment workflows. • Build and optimize data pipelines (SQL, Python, Kafka, or Airflow) to enable faster ingestion and reporting cycles. • Implement data governance and validation logic using PL/SQL and REST-based microservices. Solution Delivery • Partner closely with Business Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and Operations Teams to capture and refine technical requirements. • Develop design specifications and technical documentation following Agile and SDLC best practices. • Support full development lifecycle—requirements, build, testing, deployment, and production support. • Deliver incident triage, root cause analysis, and production fixes in time-sensitive environments. Data Engineering & Optimization • Engineer ETL and ELT pipelines integrating Eagle data with Oracle, SQL Server, and Snowflake environments. • Apply advanced PL/SQL performance tuning for large datasets, partitioning, and query optimization. • Implement data lineage tracking, validation scripts, and data health dashboards using Python and SQL. • Build automation workflows for Eagle batch jobs using Ansible, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD. • Optimize Eagle’s database schema and indexing strategies to improve system performance and data integrity. Integration & Automation • Develop middleware integrations using RESTful APIs, SOAP services, Kafka, or MQ to connect Eagle with other enterprise systems. • Create automation scripts using Python or Bash for Eagle job scheduling, monitoring, and deployment. • Leverage Ansible and Puppet for environment provisioning, configuration management, and release automation. • Integrate with ServiceNow or Jira for automated incident triage and change management workflows. Technical Architecture & DevOps Enablement • Lead architecture design sessions focused on Eagle modernization and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes). • Support CI/CD pipelines for Eagle configurations using GitLab, Jenkins, and Nexus. • Collaborate with cloud teams to deploy Eagle workloads on AWS or Azure environments (ECS, RDS, EC2, AKS). • Implement security standards (OAuth2.0, SAML, JWT) and compliance controls (SOC2, ISO27001). • Conduct performance benchmarking, load testing, and failover simulation exercises. Stakeholder Management • Partner with business analysts, data governance, and operations teams to deliver functional and technical enhancements. • Provide technical mentoring and code reviews for Eagle development teams. • Prepare high-level design documents, architecture blueprints, and knowledge transfer artifacts. • Interface with vendor engineering teams (BNY Mellon Eagle Investment Systems) for custom patch deployments and product roadmap alignment. Technical Environment & Tools • Eagle Platform: STAR, PACE, IWS, Message Center, Uploader/Exporter • Databases: Oracle 12c/19c, MS SQL Server, Snowflake, PostgreSQL • Programming Languages: PL/SQL, Python, Java, C#, Bash, PowerShell • Integration / Messaging: Kafka, RESTful APIs, SOAP, MQ, JSON, XML • Automation & Configuration: Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD • Cloud Platforms: AWS (RDS, Lambda, ECS), Azure (AKS, Logic Apps), GCP (BigQuery, Pub/Sub) • Version Control: Git, Bitbucket, GitLab, MFS • Monitoring / Logging: Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace • Security / IAM: OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT, LDAP Integration Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering. • 15+ years of IT experience, with minimum 10+ years specializing in Eagle STAR and PACE (v15 or later). • Expertise in PL/SQL, Eagle Message Center, PACE Uploader & Exporter, Eagle STAR Panels, and IWS. • Strong database development and performance optimization experience (Oracle, MS SQL). • Proven experience with financial data models, reference data, and data quality frameworks. • Hands-on skills in Java, & Python for customization and system integration. • Deep understanding of ETL, data migration, and data governance in capital markets. • Familiarity with Finastra, SimCorp Dimension, or other investment management platforms preferred. • Proficiency in GitLab, Bitbucket, or MFS for repository and version control. • Excellent communication and documentation abilities across technical and business teams.
