Role description
Senior Ecommerce Analyst
London / Hybrid
12-Month FTC
Up to £60,000
A globally recognised luxury consumer brand is looking for a Senior Ecommerce Analyst to join its European digital team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a high-impact role sitting within a growing ecommerce function during an exciting period of digital expansion and organisational transformation. The business is investing further in analytics capability and is looking for someone who can combine strong technical skills with commercial thinking, initiative, and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
You will play a key role in understanding online customer behaviour, identifying friction points in the digital journey, improving conversion, and delivering insight-led recommendations that shape performance across multiple European ecommerce markets.
The opportunity
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting data to action. You will work cross-functionally with teams across ecommerce, marketing, product, UX, content, and technology to uncover opportunities, test ideas, and improve customer experience and commercial performance.
The position would suit either:
• an established Senior Analyst looking for a strong brand and broader scope, or
• an Analyst ready to step up into a more senior, visible role.
Key responsibilities
• Analyse website performance across traffic, bounce rate, session duration, conversion, and customer journey behaviour
• Conduct funnel analysis to identify drop-off points and recommend improvements
• Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting with clear, actionable insights
• Build dashboards, visualisations, and performance reporting against KPIs
• Design and evaluate A/B and multivariate tests
• Partner with stakeholders to define measurement plans and success metrics
• Use segmentation, behavioural analysis, and user journey insights to spot trends and opportunities
• Recommend UX and onsite improvements using data from analytics tools, heatmaps, session replay, and journey analysis
• Audit analytics implementation and help maintain data accuracy across platforms
• Translate complex data into clear commercial recommendations for senior stakeholders
• Stay current on new tools, methodologies, and trends across ecommerce analytics and digital optimisation
What we’re looking for
• Around 3-5+ years’ experience in ecommerce or digital analytics, ideally within a retail, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer brand environment
• Strong understanding of ecommerce performance metrics, onsite optimisation, and customer journey analysis
• Experience using Google Analytics / GA4 and/or Adobe Analytics
• Strong SQL and Excel capability
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
• Experience with testing, insight generation, and turning analysis into practical recommendations
• Exposure to tools such as Google Tag Manager, ContentSquare or equivalent customer behaviour platforms is highly beneficial
• Ability to communicate confidently with senior stakeholders and challenge constructively where needed
• Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Additional experience that could be helpful
• Ecommerce platform exposure such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud or Shopify
• Knowledge of digital marketing metrics including CPA, conversion, and CLV
• Awareness of AI-enabled analytics, predictive tools, or emerging technologies in digital insight
