Role description
The Panther Group is seeking a W2 Contract to Hire (Temp to Perm) Senior Engineer, Workforce Management Technology with one of our partners in retail. This role will be hybrid (3 days in office in Dallas, TX). Pay Rate $60 an hour. This role does not support Visas (OPT, H1B, ect) and does not permit sponsorship now or in the future. This role does not NOT support C2C |C2H, Corp - Corp or third party recruiters to apply Job Summary: As a Senior Engineer in our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality systems and solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our technology infrastructure is robust, scalable, and aligned with the company's objectives. This role is responsible for the development, implementation and support of our Workforce Management Technology systems, including UKG Pro and Workforce Central as well as supporting integrations to Peoplesoft HCM and Oracle HCM applications, among other related business systems. Key Responsibilities: Estimate, design, develop, configure, test and deploy reliable, scalable, and maintainable Workforce Management systems and applications. Demonstrate strong expertise in UKG Pro (SaaS) and WFC applications Analyze UKG and other application requests which may require change, configuration, and testing of new functionality. Proactively partner and coordinate with global WFM team as well as other GTS teams to solve problems, design appropriate solutions and coordinate system implementations Conduct thorough testing of systems and applications to ensure functionality, security, and performance. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers. Monitor system performance and reliability, proactively addressing any issues and proactively identifying opportunities to improve existing systems and processes. Create, maintain and update documentation related to system design, development, and maintenance processes. Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ensure that all systems and applications adhere to security best practices and comply with relevant regulations and standards Analyze and document business requirements, processes, procedures to identify areas of improvement and implement system enhancements Ensure adherence to SDLC, SOX, PII and PCI Compliance Prepare and maintain system and operational documentation Mentor junior team members Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience with Windows, Linux, and AIX/UNIX Operating systems, Oracle and SQL Server databases, webservers, network and security protocols, data storage solutions, file system construction and management. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud). Knowledge of security best practices and tools relevant to the discipline. Analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions. Experience working with enterprise datasets and conducting performance tuning and optimization. Experience and proficiency in working with application software vendors Have experience in web services (REST, SOAP), integration protocols (XML, JSON) and API development Experience Qualifications: Sr. Engineer: 5+ years of experience 5+ years of experience with configuration and support of UKG Pro WFM, Workforce Central 8.0 or higher. Prefer WFC 8.1 experience. 5+ years of experience with configuration and support of UKG Advanced Scheduler and Forecasting. 5+ years of experience with UKG Workforce Integration Manager and/or Boomi Integration Services 3+ years of experience with Service Release installations and upgrades 3+ years of experience with configuration of UKG Pro WFM Dashboards and Tiles 2+ years of experience with UKG custom report writing Nice to Haves: Experience with various SDLC methodologies, preferably Agile Retail industry knowledge Domain knowledge of HCM/Finance #INDIT Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Application Question(s): This position requires candidates to work hybrid in Irving, TX.
