Job Description:
As a Senior Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader for enterprise Content Management, Digital Asset Management, and supporting content platform ecosystem. You will provide architectural guidance and technical leadership for content publishing, digital asset lifecycle management, workflow automation, and platform integrations that enable business-critical digital experiences.
You will design, plan, and develop scalable software solutions, APIs, integrations, and platform capabilities that support enterprise content operations. Working closely with product, architecture, and business partners, you will establish technical direction, define engineering patterns, and ensure solutions align with long-term technology strategy. You will leverage modern software engineering practices to build secure, resilient, and maintainable systems while driving continuous improvement across the content platform ecosystem.
Designing Solutions
• Apply technical knowledge to design and deliver scalable solutions across enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS), Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms, workflow tools, and supporting integrations.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions that improve content publishing, digital asset lifecycle management, workflow automation, and platform capabilities.
• Work independently to solve complex technical problems while aligning solutions with the broader software engineering and platform strategy.
• Design APIs, integration patterns, and automation that enable seamless content and asset movement across enterprise platforms.
Developing Software
• Independently and collaboratively develop, enhance, and maintain software supporting content management, digital asset management, publishing workflows, and enterprise integrations.
• Build scalable APIs, platform extensions, automation, and custom services that support business capabilities across CMS, DAM, and workflow platforms.
• Deliver reliable, resilient, secure, and maintainable software that meets or exceeds team expectations for stability, scalability, observability, and performance.
• Contribute to integration development between enterprise platforms such as CMS, DAM, workflow management, identity providers, and downstream digital experiences.
Learning and Applying New Techniques
• Research and introduce new technologies, architectural patterns, and platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and business outcomes.
• Share knowledge with the team and encourage continuous learning around enterprise platform engineering, cloud services, integrations, and modern software development practices.
• Stay current on emerging trends in enterprise CMS, digital asset management, API development, automation, and cloud-native technologies.
Collaborating within the Team
• Participate in technical design sessions and architecture discussions to remove technical roadblocks and guide engineering decisions.
• Partner closely with Product Owners, Content Strategy, Marketing, Creative Services, Digital Experience teams, and technology partners to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Help decompose complex initiatives into deliverable engineering work and provide technical leadership throughout implementation.
Defining Engineering Standards and Patterns
• Contribute to engineering standards, reusable integration patterns, templates, and frameworks supporting enterprise content and digital asset platforms.
• Establish best practices for API development, platform extensibility, workflow automation, security, observability, and operational excellence.
• Promote reusable architecture patterns that reduce technical debt and simplify future platform evolution.
DevOps
• Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, resilience, and operational health using metrics, monitoring, and observability.
• Expand and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting enterprise content platforms and integration services.
• Participate in production support rotation and provide expert knowledge for platform components, integrations, and publishing workflows.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, deployment automation, and operational best practices.
Selecting & Managing Technology Vendors
• Participate in evaluating enterprise CMS, DAM, workflow, and supporting technology vendors.
• Assist in proof-of-concepts, technical evaluations, platform upgrades, and integration assessments.
• Collaborate with vendor engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues and evaluate new platform capabilities.
Coaching Engineers
• Mentor junior engineers on software engineering fundamentals, platform architecture, integration development, cloud engineering, and operational excellence.
• Provide technical leadership during design reviews, troubleshooting, and implementation activities.
• Conduct code reviews and share engineering best practices across the team.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on content platform architecture, digital asset management, and enterprise integrations.
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise applications, platform capabilities, APIs, or integration solutions.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations using REST APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging, or workflow automation.
• Experience working with enterprise content platforms, CMS, Digital Asset Management (DAM), workflow management systems, or comparable enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.
• Strong understanding of version control and collaborative software development practices.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, resilient, and maintainable distributed systems.
• Expertise debugging complex applications, integrations, APIs, and production issues using logs, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Strong SQL and database querying skills for troubleshooting, reporting, and data analysis.
• Experience performing code reviews and providing technical mentorship.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices.
