Senior Engineer – Mendix

Job Title: Senior Engineer – Mendix Location: WTC, New York City (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite) Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mendix Engineer to join our client KKR in building and enhancing enterprise-grade low-code applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with the Mendix platform and the ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Mendix applications using best practices • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions • Build complex microflows, nanoflows, integrations, and domain models • Integrate Mendix applications with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs • Ensure application performance, security, and scalability • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers • Support application deployments, upgrades, and production issues • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning Required Skills & Qualifications • 6+ years of overall software development experience • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Mendix Low-Code Platform • Strong knowledge of Mendix architecture, microflows, nanoflows, and data modeling • Experience with REST APIs, web services, and third-party integrations • Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS is a plus • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is preferred • Mendix Certification (Intermediate / Advanced) is a strong plus • Strong communication and problem-solving skills Work Environment • Hybrid model: 4 days onsite at WTC, NYC • Fast-paced, enterprise-level project environment
