Sr ETL Developer • Hybrid 3 days onsite DT Austin • Will only submit candidates who are currently based in Austin area • Long term contract Performs highly advanced (senior-level) ETL development work on a Data Conversion Project. Multi-year project to convert data from legacy PeopleSoft system to a cloud solution. The ETL development work will be extracting data from an Oracle database and transforming/loading it to an in-house SQL Server database. Extensive T-SQL skills will be key to the process. Essential Functions • Performs advanced ETL development work on data primarily residing in SQL Server • Translates rules provided by PeopleSoft developers (Oracle based) into efficient T-SQL scripts to load data into the target database on SQL Server • Troubleshoots, supports and maintains the ETL processes developed by the team • Designs, deploys, and manages standardized, centralized data sources • Helps to establish best practices for development, testing, migration and error handling of the ETL activities • Performs other duties as assigned • May interact with outside vendors • Impeccable written and oral communication • Communicates respectfully and works harmoniously with all co-workers, customers, and vendors • Provides exceptional customer service • Is flexible -able to work under pressure, able to adapt to change and able to work on multiple problems/tasks • Takes initiative to prevent and solve problems Qualification Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related business field • 7+ years of hands on experience in T-SQL and SSIS/SSMS development • 7+ years of hands on experience in ETL development • 7+ years of hands on experience moving and manipulating large data sets Preferred Qualifications • Experience in health/life insurance, accounting and financials, or investment data related activities • Experience with data tools (Visual Studio, SSIS, MS SQL) • Experience with Azure • Experience with Agile iterations • Experience with ERP applications What We Offer • Hybrid schedule • Work on highly visible projects • Competitive compensation and benefits including health, dental, vision, life and accident insurance and short-term disability insurance • Great work-life balance This is a hybrid contract opportunity based in Austin, TX and no sponsorship can be provided.
