Senior ETL Developer

Python ETL Data Engineer Our client writes policy, regulates & oversees over 1,500 energy companies who provide power to the power grids of Canada, the US & Mexico. We’re seeking an experienced Data Engineer to build and support the data platforms, pipelines, and integrations that power our analytics and business applications. You’ll transform raw data into secure, reliable, and accessible assets while partnering with analysts, product teammates, and IT to deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and optimize data platforms, pipelines, and integrations. • Translate business requirements into clear technical designs. • Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts for new data solutions. • Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and application engineers on data modeling and transformations. • Implement and test data solutions for performance, scalability, and quality. • Communicate progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data engineering, information systems, or related field. • 8+ years of ETL experience with data platforms and data engineering. • Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, SQL/SOQL, ETL, APIs, Apache Airflow, Bash, etc.). • Experience with major data formats and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred). • Solid understanding of Windows/Linux environments and infrastructure interactions. • Bonus: Experience with Elastic (ELK) or Microsoft Fabric.
