ETL Developer / Data Engineer (IBM Cloud Pak) 📍 Location: Lansing, MI 💰 Rate: $60–$75/hr on W-2 🚫 No C2C or Third-Party Candidates Position Overview We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer / Data Engineer to support enterprise-level Master Data Management (MDM) and Information Services initiatives. This role will focus on designing, developing, and supporting modern data solutions across complex environments, leveraging IBM Cloud Pak and related tools. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Data, IBM Knowledge Catalog, and IBM Manta, along with the ability to translate business needs into scalable data architecture and ETL solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines supporting enterprise data initiatives • Support Master Data Management (MDM) and enterprise data integration efforts • Work with business and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into data architecture solutions • Enable and support migration of IBM DataStage workloads to IBM Cloud Pak for Data • Develop and maintain data warehouses, data marts, and data lakes • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across multiple data sources • Design and implement dashboards, reporting solutions, and analytics tools • Define and enforce data architecture standards, patterns, and best practices • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making • Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on data usage and analytics capabilities Required Qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Data • 5+ years of experience with IBM Knowledge Catalog, including migration from DataStage • 5+ years of experience with IBM Manta • Strong experience in ETL development and data integration • Experience supporting Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions • Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments with multiple data sources • Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and lifecycle management • Excellent communication and collaboration skills Key Skills • ETL Development & Data Integration • IBM Cloud Pak for Data • IBM Knowledge Catalog • IBM Manta • DataStage Migration • Data Warehousing (DW), Data Lakes, Data Marts • Master Data Management (MDM) • Data Governance & Data Quality • SQL & Data Modeling • Business Intelligence & Reporting Ideal Candidate • Strong analytical thinker with a passion for data architecture and engineering • Able to work effectively in complex, enterprise-scale environments • Skilled at bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions • Proactive and detail-oriented with a focus on data integrity and performance Additional Information • Opportunity to work on enterprise-wide data modernization initiatives • High-impact role supporting data strategy and analytics capabilities • Collaborative environment working with both business and technical stakeholders
