Now Hiring: Senior Financial Reporting & Planning Analyst (Contract) Hybrid (2–3 Days Onsite – NJ) Duration: 3–6 Months (Potential Extension) Hourly: $40 - $55 Start Date: February 2026 Are you a finance professional who wants your work to make a meaningful impact? A leading nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity across New Jersey is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting & Planning Analyst to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and grant accounting initiatives. This role partners closely with senior leadership to deliver financial insights that support mission-driven decision making. What You’ll Be Doing: • Support month-end close and financial reporting • Prepare and analyze departmental and organization-wide financial statements • Perform budget vs. actual analysis and trend reporting • Build forecasting models and budget templates (not plug-and-play) • Manage financial administration and reporting for ~30 grants (federal, state, local, and private funding) • Track grant expenditures and ensure compliance with grant requirements • Assist with grant setup, reporting, and close-out processes • Help automate reporting and forecasting processes • Develop cash flow forecasting and financial models What They’re Looking For: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • 4+ years of financial reporting, FP&A, and grant accounting experience • Strong GAAP knowledge • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas — testing required) • Experience building forecasts and financial models • Experience with Sage Intacct, Concur, and Microsoft O365 preferred • Nonprofit and fund accounting experience strongly preferred • Strong ability to communicate financial data to non-finance stakeholders To Apply If you’re interested in applying your financial expertise to support meaningful social change, I’d love to connect.
