Senior GCP DevOps Engineer

Senior GCP Devops Engineer Location: Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite in FL Duration: 6+ Months (Contract-to-Hire ) Relocation: Candidates open to relocation will be considered No Sponsorship (W2/ 1099 Only) About the Role We are seeking a GCP / Terraform Engineer. This role focuses on building, automating, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and API solutions to support enterprise-scale initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on cloud engineering professional with deep experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Terraform, as well as exposure to DevOps practices and API management. This position is not a developer role. Required Qualifications • 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud Platform Engineering, or DevSecOps within hybrid environments (GCP + AWS). • 3+ years hands-on experience with Terraform (HashiCorp) for Infrastructure as Code, including writing advanced reusable modules. • 3+ years designing, developing, and implementing APIs with Apigee, including API proxies, environments, and lifecycle management. • Strong automation and scripting skills (Python, Bash, or equivalent). • Hands-on experience with GCP Networking (VPC, subnets, firewall rules, routing, IAM). • Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Harness, Artifactory, and Splunk. • Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, networking, and systems. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with automated server configuration (Linux and Windows). • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
