Title : Senior HPE Non-Stop Developer – Real-Time Train Control Systems Location : 5 days onsite Philadelphia PA 19102 Visa : No H1B/CPT Primary Skills : C++ Job Description : The Senior HPE Non-Stop Developer plays a vital role in designing, building, and maintaining high-availability applications that power real-time train control and dispatching systems. Supporting 24/7 rail operations, this role ensures system performance, fault tolerance, and compliance across mission-critical platforms. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable software using TAL, C/C++, and NonStop SQL, contributing to operational reliability and modernization efforts in a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical applications on HPE NonStop systems using TAL, C, or C++ • Support real-time train control, dispatching, and crew scheduling systems with fault-tolerant architecture • Develop and optimize databases using NonStop SQL/MX and SQL/MP • Integrate applications with Enscribe file systems and Pathway server classes • Conduct performance tuning and implement system enhancements for improved throughput • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure continuous system uptime • Participate in structured change management, including software upgrades and patch deployment • Create and maintain technical documentation aligned with regulatory and operational standards • Collaborate with QA, infrastructure, and operations teams for solution delivery • Contribute to modernization through API integration (REST APIs, NSHTTP, iTP WebServer) • Provide technical leadership, estimates, and input into release planning and architecture Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (required) • Minimum 7 years of hands-on development experience on HPE NonStop (Tandem) platforms • Strong programming skills in TAL, C, or C++ for real-time, high-availability systems • Expertise in NonStop SQL/MX and SQL/MP, including schema design and query optimization • Experience with Enscribe file structures and Pathway server integration • Proven track record in performance analysis and production issue resolution in 24/7 environments • Familiarity with secure coding practices and compliance in regulated industries • Strong documentation and communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience with structured change management and release processes Preferred: • HPE NonStop technical certification • 10+ years of experience on Tandem platforms • Background in transportation, logistics, or dispatching systems • Experience with hybrid integration architectures (REST APIs, iTP WebServer) • Familiarity with SLA-driven support environments Thanks and Regards, Jeet Kumar Thapa Technical Recruiter Oreva Technologies Inc.
