Senior Information Technology Business Analyst

The Panther Group is seeking a W2 Contract (7 months covering a leave of absence) Senior IT Business Analyst supporting a leading university environment in Boston, MA. This is a highly visible, hands-on role focused on enterprise systems, business process analysis, application integrations, and technology solution delivery across complex IT environments. What You’ll Do • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements • Analyze current-state systems, workflows, and infrastructure to identify process improvements and integration opportunities • Translate business needs into user stories, technical requirements, workflows, and solution specifications • Lead and support enterprise system integration initiatives involving APIs, middleware, and third-party platforms • Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and performance standards • Facilitate solution design and requirements sessions across cross-functional teams • Develop business process documentation, workflow diagrams, data flows, and future-state system maps • Participate in vendor evaluations, implementation planning, and RFP-related activities • Support QA and UAT efforts, including test case development and validation of end-to-end workflows • Monitor post-implementation performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives • Mentor junior analysts and support business analysis best practices and standards Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related field • 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst supporting enterprise systems and integrations • Strong experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements • Experience with business process modeling, workflow analysis, and solution documentation Solid understanding of: • APIs • System integrations • Middleware technologies • enterprise application interoperability • Knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts including: • Networks and Servers • Cloud platforms • Security protocols Experience with tools such as: • JIRA • Confluence • Visio • Lucidchart • Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree or MBA • Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, ITIL, or TOGAF Experience with platforms such as: • ServiceNow • Workday • Salesforce • SAP • Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau • Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure • Experience working within Agile or DevOps environments Pay is $69.93-$90.91 per hour DOE
