Role description

Neos is seeking an IT Business Analyst for a long-term contract with our client in Austin, TX. This position is 100% remote with a preference for candidates residing in Texas

   • Seeking a Business Analyst to assist in developing a framework on implementing an application dedicated to records management document review and redaction software.

   • Review software solutions that align with the organizations needs and is compatible with an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment and the agency infrastructure.

   • Evaluate current environment, review the existing Oracle environment, including application, data sources, and business workflows.

   • Define Integration Goals, Identify any risk to the Oracle environment and agency data.

   • Provide an analysis on how security is managed with the application, including the transfer of data between applications and the accessibility of information within the redaction software.

   • Communicate and work with Information Resource Division (IRD) team members and agency stakeholders.

   • Maintain and track all project related documents in designated repository.

   • Report on project status to management.

   • Ensure that hardware and software meet requirements for both Oracle and the agency infrastructure.

   • Prepare a comprehensive mapping of data sources

   • Define the Extract, Transform. and Load process as required to move data between Oracle and the redaction software.

   • Identify key integration point within the agency infrastructure, and Oracle environment, such as database tables, views.

   • Experience evaluating software that includes gathering and analyzing requirements and assessing the solutions fit with business needs

   • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, to collaborate with people of all levels

   • Ability to use Microsoft Visio software to create and manipulate diagrams, system flowcharts, and other visual representation

   • Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint to create compelling and visually appealing presentations

   • Ability to gather and analyze business requirements and scope to document the final product results

   • Strong problem-solving skills to identify root cause of a problem, analyze and resolve issues

   • Familiarity with Oracle, IT systems integration and software development process

   • Experience in developing and documenting detailed test plans, test cases and requirements traceability matrices

   • System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing to ensure all requirements are developed and tested

   • Skill in analyzing and interpreting agency organizations, business practices, policies and procedures

   • Ability to coordinate and evaluate the work of others

   • Knowledge of project management practices to plan, execute and mitigate risks
