Senior Kafka Developer / Architect
Employment Type: 3-Month Contract-to-Hire or Permanent
Location: 100% Remote

Weβre seeking a Kafka Developer/Architect who can help design, scale, and optimize a secure, cloud-native Confluent Kafka platform that supports critical business operations. Daily Responsibilities
β’ Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Confluent Kafka (Confluent Cloud β fully managed)
β’ Building connectors and streaming integrations between SaaS applications and on-premises systems
β’ Ensuring seamless data flow, real-time performance, and system scalability
β’ Providing light platform support, including managing tickets with Confluent as needed
β’ Automating deployment and infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
β’ Collaborating across teams to enable reliable and secure data streaming solutions
Qualifications
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka, including connector development
β’ Proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala
β’ Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code, preferably with Terraform
β’ Solid understanding of real-time data streaming and pub/sub architecture
β’ Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
Nice-to-Haves
β’ Prior experience working in healthcare services or highly regulated industries
β’ Familiarity with large-scale system integrations during acquisitions or enterprise transformations
