Please do not take someone else's slot by applying if it wont work. • No Candidates already going through a C2C vendor will be accepted. • Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop high-performance applications leveraging Apache Kafka, Java, REST APIs, and Spring Boot. • Actively mentor and guide junior development staff, fostering their growth and ensuring best practices. • Collaborate effectively with product design and engineering teams to thoroughly understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Participate in all Agile ceremonies, contributing to a collaborative and iterative development process. Required Skills & Qualifications • Basic QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. (A Master's or Doctorate degree may substitute for a portion of the required experience). • Experience: • 10+ years of experience with programming and designing software using Java. • 8+ years of experience working on an Agile development team, preferably within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment. • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and Confluent Kafka. • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance, as this is a contract requirement. • Core Technical SkillsKafka Expertise: Strong design and development experience with Kafka and Kafka Stream Processing technologies. • Event Streaming: Proven experience developing event streaming pipelines, specifically via Confluent Kafka, including listener implementation. • Java & JEE: Extensive design and programming skills in Java and JEE technologies. • RESTful APIs: Strong experience working with RESTful API development. • Spring Framework: Extensive development skills using the latest Spring Boot and Spring Security experience. • Cloud Architecture: Experience architecting and deploying cloud-native applications onto Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud platforms. • Leadership & Problem Solving: Experience identifying requirements, researching options, designing, and implementing solutions at a leadership level on project work. • Development Tools: Experience with modern development software, tools, and methodologies, including Jenkins, Git, Jira, Nexus, Maven, OpenShift. • Agile Proficiency: Experience working on Agile projects and a thorough understanding of Agile terminology. • Web Services: Experience with Web Services Technologies, specifically JSON. • Communication: Excellent communication and written skills. • EducationBachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance (contract requirement).
