Job Title: Senior LabWare LIMS SME / Consultant Client: WSSC Water Location: Onsite – Consolidated Laboratory (Monday–Friday) Start Date: ASAP Duration: August 2026 through production deployment and potential post-production support Work Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Interview Process: Video, phone, or onsite interview Overview WSSC Water is seeking a Senior LabWare LIMS Subject Matter Expert to support a critical LabWare LIMS implementation initiative. This consultant will partner with laboratory operations, IT teams, internal LIMS administrators, and the LabWare implementation partner to complete the configuration, customization, testing, deployment, and knowledge transfer of a new LabWare LIMS environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience implementing and configuring LabWare LIMS v8, with deep expertise deploying the Contract Lab Template (CLT) and Enterprise Water Template (EWT) within water or wastewater laboratory environments. This is a highly visible role requiring both technical execution and stakeholder engagement throughout the final implementation and production rollout phases. Key Responsibilities • Configure, customize, and deploy LabWare LIMS modules aligned with laboratory and business requirements • Lead implementation and optimization of Contract Lab Template (CLT) and Enterprise Water Template (EWT) • Support integration of laboratory instrumentation and automated data collection processes • Develop and customize reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs using Crystal Reports • Configure quality management, regulatory compliance, control charting, and stability management functionality • Support testing activities including unit testing, system testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) • Troubleshoot technical issues throughout deployment and go-live activities • Provide detailed documentation and knowledge transfer to internal LIMS administrators and IT teams • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, laboratory personnel, and vendor partners Required Qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on LabWare LIMS administration, configuration, and implementation experience • Proven success delivering full lifecycle LabWare LIMS projects from requirements gathering through production deployment • Strong experience implementing LabWare within regulated laboratory environments • Experience configuring and deploying: • Contract Lab Template (CLT) • Enterprise Water Template (EWT) • Advanced LabWare LIMS v8 configuration expertise • Strong LIMS Basic programming skills including workflow development and troubleshooting • Experience with laboratory instrument integrations utilizing LabStation or similar middleware • Advanced Crystal Reports development experience • Experience supporting UAT, deployment, and post-production stabilization Preferred Qualifications • LabWare Administration or Configuration Certifications • Bachelor's or Master's degree in: • Computer Science • Information Technology • Chemistry • Biology • Environmental Science • Related discipline • Water utility or wastewater laboratory experience • Experience with: • Sample Scheduling • Standard & Reagent Inventory Manager • Electronic Data Deliverables (EDD) • eQMS (Electronic Quality Management Systems) • Control Charting • LabWare Mobile Configuration Technical Environment • LabWare LIMS v8 • Contract Lab Template (CLT) • Enterprise Water Template (EWT) • LIMS Basic • Crystal Reports • LabStation • eQMS • Electronic Data Deliverables (EDD) • Instrument Integration Ideal Candidate Profile Looking for a true LabWare specialist who has successfully implemented CLT and EWT templates within water or wastewater laboratory environments. The consultant should be comfortable serving as both a hands-on configurator and strategic advisor while mentoring internal teams and ensuring a successful production deployment.
