Legal.io is working with a leading fintech organization that is looking to engage an experienced legal operations associate full-time (40 hours per week) on a contract-basis for an initial 6 month term.
Engagement Details:
• Technology: Ironclad, LegalTracker (or equivalent e-billing software), LawVu (or equiv. matter management software), OneTrust, Jira
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Duration: 6 months with strong potential to extend/convert
• Pay: $55 - $75 / hour ($110,000 - $150,000 annualized)

Role and Qualifications:
• This position will play a crucial role in optimizing legal workflows through the effective use of technology, automation, and analytics.
• In this role, you will administer and enhance the legal technology platforms, produce insightful reporting, and champion cross-functional alignment that enables scalable, data-driven legal support.
• Working closely with Legal Operations management, IT, vendors, attorneys, and professional staff, you’ll identify process pain points, develop technology-driven solutions, and drive efficiencies across the Legal department.

• Drive Automation: Leverage AI tools and other technologies to automate manual processes and improve productivity.
• Centralize Tech Management: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot core legal tech platforms, including Ironclad, LawVu, OneTrust, Brightflag, and JIRA, ensuring reliability, scalability, and user satisfaction.
• Deliver Actionable Analytics: Build dashboards and reports that provide visibility into key legal performance indicators (KPIs), technology adoption, and outside counsel performance, enabling data-driven decision-making.
• Enhance Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Finance) to align legal technology initiatives with business goals and ensure seamless data flow.
• Support Knowledge Management: Optimize document management systems and knowledge-sharing tools to increase accessibility and efficiency.
What You’ll Do
• Administer & Optimize Platforms: Own the configuration, maintenance, security, and roadmap for Ironclad (CLM), LawVu (matter management), Brightflag (e-billing), OneTrust (GRC), JIRA, and related tools, ensuring smooth operation and high adoption.
• Build & Maintain Reporting: Design and maintain dashboards that track KPIs, tech adoption metrics, outside counsel spend, accruals, and budget forecasts; deliver regular insights to Legal leadership.
• Manage Outside Counsel & Vendors: Support day-to-day e-billing administration, vendor onboarding, outside counsel management, and related reporting to ensure value, compliance, and performance.
• Lead Technology Implementations: Evaluate new tools, build business cases, manage vendor relationships, and drive end-to-end implementation projects on time and within budget.
• Enable & Train Stakeholders: Develop and deliver training, documentation, and self-service resources that empower attorneys and staff to leverage legal tech effectively.
• Project & Change Management: Create project plans, manage resources, mitigate risks, and ensure successful change adoption across the department.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current on legal tech and AI trends, assess applicability, and pilot innovative solutions
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in a law firm, corporate legal IT department, or Legal Services provider in a legal operations capacity OR 9 years of experience without a degree.
• Demonstrated experience administering legal operations software and knowledge-management tools
• Hands-on configuration and support experience with at least two of the following: Ironclad, LawVu, OneTrust, Brightflag, JIRA, or similar CLM/e-billing/GRC platforms.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement technology solutions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
• Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
