Our client, a leader in warehouse automation technology, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will be an integral part of the R&D department supporting cutting-edge solutions in robotic perception and supply chain automation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a passion for technological advancement, and a collaborative spirit that aligns with the organization’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

What's the Job?
• Tame the Long Tail: Develop strategies to detect and handle rare events such as novel packaging, damaged goods, and occlusion that challenge traditional detection methods.
• Leverage Foundation Models: Adapt and fine-tune large-scale foundation models for specific robotic manipulation tasks to achieve zero-shot generalization capabilities.
• Model Optimization: Transform large, compute-heavy models into efficient, lightweight networks capable of low-latency performance on edge compute platforms like NVIDIA Orin.
• Drive Technical Excellence: Stay ahead of the latest CV/ML research, translate breakthroughs into production-ready solutions, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Collaborate across teams to bridge academic research with real-world robotic deployment, ensuring innovative solutions are reliable and scalable.
What's Needed?
• 5+ Years of experience in Computer Vision and Deep Learning, with a focus on applied research or advanced R&D.
• Hands-on experience with modern architectures such as Transformers (ViT), Self-Supervised Learning (SSL), Vision-Language Models (VLMs), or Zero-Shot detection.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and PyTorch for developing and deploying machine learning models.
• Experience with Model Distillation (Student-Teacher networks) and Quantization techniques to optimize models for edge deployment.
• Familiarity with Docker, cloud platforms like AWS or GCP (S3, EC2), and experiment tracking tools to streamline development workflows.
