About the Team
The Analytics, Investments and Marketing Enablement (AIM) team - within Global Commercial Services Marketing (GCSM) - is the analytics engine powering Commercial customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. AIM develops insights, data products, and analytical solutions that shape smarter marketing and customer experiences.
This role sits within AIM and supports Customer Acquisition Analytics for Corporate products, shaping how American Express uses data, advanced analytics, and emerging AI to transform our digital experience.
How will you make an impact in this role?
As a Senior Manager, you will lead analytical work that fuels the next generation of AMEX’s Corporate customer acquisition engine across Sales & Marketing. You will design and implement data-driven strategies, build scalable analytical solutions, and collaborate across business, digital, and technology teams to optimize targeting, personalization, and customer conversion.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about targeting analytics, enthusiastic about emerging AI and GenAI capabilities, and eager to help shape how AMEX engages Commercial Corporate customers in a dynamic and competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop analytical solutions and data products that improve targeting accuracy, personalization, and acquisition performance across Sales & Marketing channels.
• Own end-to-end analyses focused on audience segmentation, experimentation, funnel optimization, and identification of conversion opportunities.
• Build and enhance models and decisioning strategies, leveraging AMEX’s vast first-party data and evolving digital intelligence capabilities.
• Apply emerging AI and GenAI techniques, such as intelligent customer journey optimization, semantic modeling and automated insights to enhance targeting precision and analytical productivity.
• Drive experimentation, performance measurement and Investment optimization - designing test structures, evaluating results, and making actionable recommendations to improve conversion and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across American Express to ensure implementation of analytical solutions and ensure business impact.
• Synthesize insights and clearly communicate findings and strategy implications to leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement, bringing forward new ideas in digital analytics, advanced modeling techniques, Gen AI use-cases and scalable data automation that future-proof AMEX’s digital acquisition engine.
Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working through complex, ambiguous business questions.
• Experience with building ML models like XGBoost, K-Means, etc with proficiency in analytical tools such as SQL, Python, or similar; knowledge of digital analytics or experimentation frameworks is a plus.
• Ability to translate data into insights and clearly communicate recommendations to business partners.
• Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams and influencing decisions through data-driven insights.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in digital marketing analytics, personalization, website optimization, or acquisition strategy.
• Familiarity with digital ecosystem tools such as clickstream analytics platforms, identity frameworks, or real-time recommender systems.
• Familiarity and interest in applying emerging AI and Gen AI capabilities to improve targeting outcomes.
• Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests, optimizing digital funnels, or improving performance through data-driven experimentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence partners and drive action
Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
