Senior Manager, Experience Engineering

We are currently partnered with a digital consultancy which is looking for a Senior Manager, Experience Engineering to support one of their clients. This role starts as a 3-month contract with the potential to extend and is a hybrid model-onsite 3x/week in Atlanta, Georgia. Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Manager, Experience Engineering to lead the design, development, and scaling of large-scale, commercial web platforms. This is a senior-level React-focused leadership role for an experienced digital engineering professional who thrives in complex environments and can partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-impact digital solutions. Key Responsibilities • Lead and oversee the development of enterprise-scale web applications using React • Architect and scale large commercial web platforms with a focus on performance, quality, and maintainability • Serve as a senior technical leader, guiding engineering teams and setting best practices • Partner closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to deliver exceptional digital experiences • Drive implementation and integration of Contentful (CMS) within modern frontend architectures • Ensure engineering excellence through code reviews, technical standards, and mentorship • Contribute to technical strategy, roadmap planning, and execution Required Qualifications • 15+ years of professional experience in digital engineering or software development • Deep expertise in React and modern frontend frameworks • Strong hands-on experience with Contentful CMS and headless CMS architectures • Proven experience building and scaling large, complex, commercial web platforms • Prior experience in a senior leadership or management role • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with onsite presence in Atlanta 3 days per week Preferred Qualifications • Agency or consulting experience • Experience working with enterprise clients and large-scale digital transformations • Familiarity with modern DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based architectures
