Role description
A globally recognised Consumer Goods organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to lead marketing effectiveness measurement through advanced marketing mix modelling and related analytical solutions.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the full data lifecycle — from collection and extraction through to manipulation, validation and preparation — ensuring high-quality inputs for modelling workflows.
Working as an embedded member of an established Data Science team, you will contribute to the design and development of robust base models aligned to project specifications, with a strong focus on model validity and statistical rigour.
What you'll need:
• A track record of designing, building and operationalising MMM solutions that have directly influenced marketing investment decisions
• Deep Python expertise applied specifically within a marketing science or econometrics context
• Hands-on experience with PyMC as your primary tool for probabilistic modelling — candidates without this will not be considered
• The ability to specify and reason about Bayesian models, including prior selection, posterior diagnostics and uncertainty quantification
• Regression modelling fluency in an MMM setting, including adstock transformations and saturation curve estimation
• Confidence working across the full statistical modelling stack — from exploratory analysis through to production-ready model delivery
• Experience operating within cloud-based data environments, with the ability to build and maintain scalable analytical pipelines
