We are seeking an experienced Market Data & MI Senior Analyst with strong expertise in underwriting performance data and a proven track record of delivering impactful insights. This role is focused on analysing and presenting market-wide performance trends, building dashboards, and producing MI that tells a clear and compelling story about underwriting results and market dynamics.
You'll be working across a mix of analytical and reporting activities, with a strong emphasis on transforming complex data into actionable insights. The role requires advanced data skills, experience in the specialty insurance sector, and the ability to present findings that influence senior stakeholders and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse and interpret underwriting performance data from a market-wide perspective.
• Design and deliver dashboards, MI reports, and data visualisations that highlight key performance trends.
• Translate complex data into clear, story-driven insights to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across underwriting, performance, and strategy teams.
• Provide ongoing monitoring and reporting of market trends and competitor activity.
• Support governance and oversight by ensuring accuracy and consistency of MI outputs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.
Skills & Experience
• Proven experience working with underwriting performance data (essential).
• Strong background in specialty insurance or the Lloyd's/London Market (essential).
• Expertise in MI reporting and dashboard development using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Advanced data analysis skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.
• Strong commercial and strategic awareness, with the ability to see the bigger picture.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, outcome-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
