Job Title: Senior Natural / ADABAS Developer Location: Onsite - Jackson, MS Duration: ASAP – February 1, 2029 (3 Years) Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Natural/ADABAS Developer to support, enhance, and maintain the statewide Child Support System (METSS). The role involves working on system integrations, automation of existing processes, and ensuring compliance with state and federal mandates. The developer will contribute across the full lifecycle including analysis, design, development, and production support. Key Responsibilities • Support, maintain, and enhance the METSS child support system • Develop and execute Natural programs using ADABAS database • Run and manage batch processes via JCL/SCL and online processing • Analyze, design, and implement solutions for complex system enhancements • Integrate METSS with external systems across different platforms • Provide subject matter expertise on system architecture • Interpret and implement federal and state mandates within system design • Recommend improvements to system functionality and business processes • Create and maintain technical and functional documentation • Train end users on system features and updates • Participate in on-call support rotation Required Technical Skills • Natural Programming & ADABAS – 10+ years • Experience running Natural processes (batch via JCL/SCL and online) • Experience with large-scale Linux system development – 2+ years • Automated child support system experience – 4+ years • System architecture expertise – 3+ years • Unit testing experience Required Functional Skills • Experience recommending system and process enhancements – 3+ years • Documentation development and maintenance – 3+ years • End-user training – 3+ years Domain & Compliance Experience • Knowledge of child support policies, procedures, and federal/state mandates – 2+ years • Experience implementing federal and state mandates in Linux-based systems such as METSS – 2+ years Preferred Skills • Linux (Intermediate) • Web Services / API development • Natural ONE (SAG Designer).
