Role description
We are looking for a Senior Occupancy Planner to provide strategic expertise in managing and optimizing space across a client's real estate portfolio. This role ensures efficient utilization of workplace resources through forecasting, scenario planning, and stakeholder collaboration. As a key contributor, you will oversee space planning initiatives and maintain data integrity to support evolving business needs. This is a long-term contract position based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Responsibilities:
Develop and manage detailed site-level occupancy plans, including headcount projections, stacking arrangements, and seat allocation scenarios.
Lead relocation efforts, such as migration plans, restacks, and consolidations, to address dynamic business requirements.
Ensure the accuracy and compliance of space data by conducting floor plan audits and validating information in various platforms.
Coordinate and execute weekly group moves, relocations, and other space adjustments in collaboration with Facilities, Project Management, and vendors.
Adapt move plans to accommodate organizational changes, such as reorganizations or mergers and acquisitions.
Partner closely with stakeholders to deliver recommendations informed by utilization metrics and data analysis.
Facilitate planning sessions, meetings, and town halls to guide change management processes and address space-related challenges.
Present operational reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.
Act as the primary liaison for client teams, fostering strong relationships and promoting continuous improvement.
Maintain proficiency in relevant tools and systems to enhance data visualization, reporting, and decision-making processes.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex space planning challenges.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, space planning software, and data visualization tools.
Familiarity with platforms such as iOffice or Serraview to manage occupancy data.
Strong communication and presentation abilities for effective stakeholder engagement.
Experience in leading strategic planning initiatives while managing tactical execution.
Ability to coordinate logistics for moves and relocations, ensuring seamless operations.
Expertise in operations management, purchasing, and warehouse logistics.
Demonstrated capability to adapt to organizational changes and evolving business needs.
