Senior OMS Developer

Position Overview Seeking a Senior IBM OMS Developer to join our client's engineering organization. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in complex enterprise environments and demonstrates strong engineering fundamentals, including clean code, scalable design, disciplined testing, and secure software delivery. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing solutions on the Order Management System (OMS) platform, supporting end-to-end commerce capabilities such as order capture, sourcing, fulfillment, inventory visibility, payments, returns, and customer care workflows. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and enhance solutions on IBM Sterling OMS • Configure and extend OMS core modules and workflows • Build and support integrations using REST APIs and event-driven architecture • Customize Sterling Order Hub and Next Gen Call Center • Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Required Skills & Experience: • 7+ years of hands-on IBM Sterling OMS development experience along with strong expertise in: • Participant Modeling • Process Modeling (Sales, Returns, Exchanges, Drop Ship, Transfer Orders) • Sourcing, Inventory Management, Payment Processing • Agents, event-driven automation, background jobs • and catalog, Pricing/Repricing, and tax recalculations • Strong Java development skills (modern versions, OOP, design patterns) • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and integrations • Solid SQL and data troubleshooting skills • Experience working with containerized OMS environments • Strong focus on code quality and unit testing (JUnit/Mockito or similar) Preferred Skills: • PostgreSQL • Angular • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Kubernetes • Spring Boot • Docker, CI/CD concepts • XSL transformations (for OMS customizations) • Exposure to React or TypeScript Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree required
