Role description
Job Title: OpenText Documentum Developer Location: Downey, CA (Hybrid) Duration: Long Term Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Senior OpenText Documentum Developer to support and enhance enterprise Documentum applications running in a shared Documentum infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end development activities including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, configuration, and production support of Documentum-based ECM solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in OpenText Documentum, xCP workflows, D2, DFC, Java/J2EE, and cloud deployments in AWS (EKS/Kubernetes). Key Responsibilities • Manage and support Documentum applications hosted in a shared infrastructure environment. • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical design and solutions. • Develop and enhance applications using: • OpenText Documentum workflow tools / low-code language • xCP 16.x, D2, DFC, Java/J2EE • Deploy, configure, optimize, and integrate Documentum applications and components. • Perform system upgrades, patching, and apply vendor hotfixes for Documentum components. • Monitor and optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues. • Support REST API web services and integration of Documentum applications. • Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and system architecture details. • Work closely with business users, vendors, and internal IT teams to support incidents, service requests, and troubleshooting. • Provide SME guidance on Documentum best practices, BPM workflow solutions, and emerging technologies. Required Skills • Strong experience in OpenText Documentum development and support. • Hands-on experience with Documentum versions 7.x, 16.x, and 20.x. • Strong development experience in xCP 16.x, DFC, Java/J2EE. • Experience with Documentum RestAPI Web Services. • Strong knowledge of BPM workflows and Documentum-based process automation. • Experience working in Linux/RHEL environments. • Understanding of database concepts (design, modeling, optimization). • Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system monitoring skills. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Skills • Experience with OpenText Documentum versions 23.2, 25.4, 26.2. • Experience with Documentum components/tools: • D2, Brava, Content Server, CTS, D2FS • OTDS, IDS, Intelligent Capture • Strong AWS cloud experience including: • EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, EFS, IAM • Docker, Helm, CLI, Ingress, CloudWatch • Experience with upgrade/migration projects from on-prem Documentum to AWS cloud. Work Experience Requirements • 3+ years (last 5 years) as Senior Developer handling solution/application design using OpenText technologies. • 3+ years (last 5 years) supporting OpenText Documentum applications (7.x / 16.x / 20.x). • 3+ years (last 5 years) developing with xCP 16.x, DFC, and Java. • 2+ years (last 3 years) working with cloud development and REST API Web Services. Education Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT or related field (Additional relevant experience may substitute education.) Preferred Certifications • CKA / KCSA (Preferred) • AWS Solutions Architect (Plus) • CKAD / KCSP (Plus) Additional Notes • Candidate must be comfortable working onsite in Downey, CA at least 2-3 days/week. • Strong collaboration skills needed for working with customers, vendors, and internal IT teams. #TB\_IT #ZR
