Job Description We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle SQL/PLSQL, MS SQL Server, and performance tuning and capacity monitoring, and a proven ability to design, develop, and review database changes using Agile methodology to support banking applications. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and review database changes across banking systems. • Perform database design and normalization, including data modeling and ER diagrams. • Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code following industry practices. • Execute performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and use of AWR, ASH, and Explain Plan. • Apply Agile methodology to plan, build, test, and deploy database changes. • Monitor capacity and performance and recommend improvements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Expert-level proficiency with the latest Oracle Database version. • Strong experience in SQL and PL/SQL programming. • Proficiency with TOAD and similar tools and experience with OEM. • Proven database design and data modeling skills, including ER diagrams and normalization. • Strong understanding of Oracle architecture, memory structures, and background processes. • Hands-on performance tuning: query optimization, indexing strategies, AWR/ASH/Explain Plan. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective communication and leadership. Preferred Skills: • Experience in the financial domain. • Knowledge of shell scripting and Python for database automation tasks. • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Datical. • Exposure to MS SQL Server and MongoDB. • Knowledge of data security, encryption, and compliance standards. Work Setup & Hiring Process: • Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week. Onsite day 1. • Start month targeted for June or July. • Interview process includes two rounds: first round video, second round in-person. • Glider ID verification will be required. • No sponsorship now or in the future for contract-to-hire consideration.
