Responsibilities Lead the development of interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that visualize key business metrics and trends effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into scalable BI solutions. Design and implement robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like Informatica, Talend, or custom scripting with Python and Shell Scripting to ensure high-quality data integration from diverse sources such as AWS, Azure Data Lake, Hadoop, and Oracle databases. Optimize data models for performance and scalability within large data warehouses utilizing SQL Server, Apache Hive, Spark, and other big data technologies. Develop RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange between applications and BI platforms. Apply advanced analysis skills to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements. Maintain best practices in database design, model training, and analytics to support ongoing reporting needs. Participate in Agile development cycles to deliver iterative enhancements rapidly while ensuring high standards of quality. Stay current with emerging technologies like Looker, Azure Data Lake services, and Linked Data concepts to continuously enhance BI capabilities. Experience Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role with a strong portfolio of enterprise-level dashboards and reports. Extensive knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark), and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Hands-on experience with ETL tools including Informatica and Talend; proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), or VBA is highly desirable. Familiarity with modern data warehousing concepts, database design principles, and analysis techniques. Strong understanding of analytics methodologies including model training and predictive analysis. Experience working within Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies. Technical expertise in RESTful API development for integrated system communication. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to analyze complex datasets for actionable insights.
