Join AMPA’s Data & Analytics team as a Senior Power BI Developer & Data Engineer, delivering enterprise grade analytics and data solutions across debt finance (DebtTrak/Aderant) and Peppermint CMS reporting. You’ll work closely with our Data Manager & Fabric Administrator to establish a scalable, governed data platform, flexing between development, engineering, and modelling as priorities shift. The role is remote-first, with UK hub attendance for collaboration.
What you will be doing:

• Engineer data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines) and Azure integration
• Model data from DebtTrak, Aderant, and Dynamics-based CMS into governed, blended and scalable datasets
• Implement incremental refresh, composite models, calculation groups, and performance tuning
• Configure and manage Power BI workspaces, deployment pipelines, and access controls
• Automate reporting workflows and enable self-service analytics for business users
Financial Modelling & Reporting
• Deliver validated financial models and role-based reports for debt, finance and legal services
• Integrate and reconcile data across multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and auditability
• Lead the transition from legacy reporting (SSRS) to Power BI, embedding best practices
Platform Enablement & Collaboration
• Champion the co-development of Fabric utilities, templates, and standards with the Fabric Administrator
• Drive adoption of data product conventions, Git integration, and monitoring/logging for scale
• Partner with Data Engineering, Finance, Legal Operations, and business stakeholders to mature the platform
• Document solutions, create user guides, and contribute to a knowledge base for repeatability
Governance & Compliance
• Embed GDPR, data protection, and least privilege access in solutions
• Certify datasets, apply sensitivity labels, and maintain audit-ready documentation
• Implement data quality checks, maintain data lineage documentation, and support audit readiness
• Ensure robust security and compliance across all reporting assets
What you will need:
Skills and experience Must have:
• Proven delivery of enterprise Power BI solutions (DAX, Power Query M, SQL)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines)
• Azure fundamentals (ADLS, managed identities, DevOps/Git)
• Dimensional modelling, data product thinking, performance optimisation
• Experience building financial/debt-related models and reports
Nice to have:
• Domain experience with Aderant and Dynamics/Peppermint
• Legal services data and finance process knowledge
• Automation of testing and documentation
