Job Summary
Overview:
The Senior Pricing Analyst is a key member of the Strategic Pricing Team within the Higher Education Finance organization. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing pricing strategies to maximize revenue, enhance profit margins, and drive market competitiveness.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Data Analysis & Strategy Development
• Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets using advanced querying and analytical tools.
• Design sustainable and dynamic pricing frameworks incorporating customer attributes, product attributes, sales data, and market intelligence.
• Create discounting guardrails to ensure margin optimization.
• Develop pricing recommendations for new products, customer segments, and promotional offers.
• Provide pricing guidance for Deal Desk requests, balancing revenue growth, profitability, and customer expectations.
• Recommend strategic actions to address and mitigate price erosion.
1. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
• Track the impact of pricing and volume shifts on revenue.
• Monitor essential metrics such as price realization, margin growth, and price erosion.
• Analyze competitor pricing and identify performance gaps through market intelligence.
1. Execution
• Lead the execution of annual pricing reviews.
• Process discount and price adjustment requests within internal systems.
1. Collaboration
• Partner with technology and data teams to define requirements and test pricing and reporting tools.
• Work closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and other stakeholders to review and develop pricing strategies.
1. Leadership & Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to enhance pricing processes, systems, models, and reporting.
• Clearly communicate insights and findings to business stakeholders and leadership.
Job Requirements:
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in SQL, Alteryx, Stata, R, or similar programming tools.
• Advanced Excel financial modeling expertise.
• Experience working with large datasets.
• Strong financial analysis background.
• Self-motivated, quick learner with intellectual curiosity and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience using Tableau or Power BI preferred.
• Prior pricing experience preferred.
