Role description
US Citizens and Green card holders would be considered only on W2. Contract 2 hire NOTES from hiring manager: strong preference is local candidates to Tampa Bay area to work onsite hybrid work style 2-3 days per week on site at St. Pete need experience with process improvement from business perspective, FS industry experience (Wealth Management) is highly preferred need experience creating efficiencies, need to be detailed oriented, have solid critical outside the box thinking looking for 4-5 years of applicable business experience, no one fresh out of school. this group is working and interfacing Independent Broker Dealers need experience managing roadmap documents for various applications will be doing some product-based testing, bug fixes, etc. this is a business facing role that regularly communicates with developers. external businesspeople and stakeholders Most important is Industry experience, then Product Management/Analysis then personality team fit (problem solving skills) Essential Duties and Responsibilities β€’ Work hands-on with internal users and financial advisors to understand pain points β€’ Gather requirements through interviews, observations, surveys, and workshops β€’ Facilitate brainstorming sessions to identify opportunities for improvement of the advisor’s experience β€’ Capture and analyze data to identify efficiency opportunities β€’ Define and document detailed functional (e.g., business processes, rules) and non-functional (e.g. data, security) business requirements β€’ Partners with team members to develop project schedules, reports and documentation and may be required to act as project lead β€’ Facilitate and participate in user testing to ensure solutions meet requirements from a functional, design, and user experience perspective β€’ Lead in preparing and delivering user training for process solutions β€’ Provide ongoing support for implemented solutions, including maintenance and enhancements β€’ Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned Knowledge of β€’ Industry knowledge – o Understanding fundamental practices and procedures used by custodians and clearing firms. o Products, processes, and business structure of independent registered investment advisors and introducing broker dealers. o Familiarity with β€œa day in the life of an advisor.” β€’ Business Processes & Operations - Understanding of core business functions, workflows, and operational models across finance, operations, customer service, and/or product development. β€’ Requirements Analysis & Documentation - Knowledge of requirement-gathering methods such as interviews, workshops, user stories, and process mapping. β€’ Project Management Principles - Familiarity with project planning and budgeting, project lifecycles (waterfall, agile, hybrid), sprint processes, and stakeholder engagement. β€’ Data Analysis & Reporting - Understanding of data structures, KPIs, reporting frameworks, and analytical techniques to support decision-making. β€’ Technology Systems & Integrations - General understanding of enterprise systems in larger enterprises and how they integrate through APIs, ETL, or middleware. β€’ Change Management Fundamentals - Knowledge of change readiness, adoption strategies, and communication planning. β€’ Regulatory & Compliance Considerations - Awareness of industry-specific regulations and standards that influence business processes. β€’ General - Core business competencies such as finance, management, accounting, operations, and marketing Skill in β€’ Eliciting and documenting business requirements from a broad set of stakeholders involving complex systems and system integrations β€’ Leading cross-functional workshops and creating client journey maps β€’ Enhancing processes to improve client experience and drive operational efficiency β€’ Creative problem solving to meet client needs while managing business scale and risk β€’ Test planning, documenting acceptance criteria, and running end-to-end validation β€’ Developing instructional and procedural documentation/presentations β€’ Preparing various reports, summaries, surveys and written recommendations β€’ Strong verbal and written communication skills β€’ Microsoft Office suite (including Visio) Ability to β€’ Manage engagements with internal and external clients to gather scope and requirements β€’ Translate advisor pain points into measurable improvements β€’ Have a general understanding of policy, procedures and processes of the organization while maintaining a big picture orientation β€’ Work independently to perform gap analysis between current and future state processes β€’ Take personal ownership of issues, following through to issue resolution β€’ Actively and effectively communicate technical and business aspects of work efforts to team members and other stakeholders β€’ Mentor other analysts when necessary β€’ Effectively organize and prioritize all tasks and responsibilities β€’ Participate in team projects and activities β€’ Demonstrate flexibility in accepting and adapting to change Education/Previous Experience β€’ College degree in computer and information science, finance, or business-related field. β€’ At least 5 years of work in wealth management, preferably with direct experience in building technology platforms and products and services commonly offered to independent registered investment advisors and introducing broker dealers.
