Role description
Our Fortune 150 Energy client is searching for a Senior Product Analyst to join their team in the local Charlotte area. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring 3 days onsite per week.
Rate: $50-$60/hr W-2
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Core Focus
β’ Primary: Product value analysis β translating data into measurable ROI, cost savings, utilization, and adoption metrics (for digital products)
β’ Goal: Own the full process of deriving and communicating value from digital products.
Key Requirements
β’ Required:
β’ Product experience is a must (any relevant background acceptable).
β’ Strong Power BI skills required.
β’ Nice to haves (not required):
β’ Google Analytics / Tag Manager experience is a nice-to-have.
β’ Financial acumen beneficial but not required.
Secondary Focus
β’ Basic business analysis (requirements, user stories) is helpful but not central.
β’ Data analysis experience is a plus, but data scientists already handle heavy data work.
Position Summary:
Workers at this level manage work with minimal supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and work independently, with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects. They are fully competent in use of concepts and procedures, identify problems, develop solutions, and take actions to resolve them.
This role provides and leads analytical support to Product Owners and Managers engaged in the discovery, design, and delivery of AI-related products. Unlike traditional data-heavy analyst roles, this position emphasizes critical thinking and storytelling with dataβtranslating insights into strategic recommendations that align with business goals and ROI.
Responsibilities and Duties:
β’ Assist Product Owner with user research and story writing.
β’ Perform process mapping, value stream mapping, process analysis, and ROI analysis.
β’ Develop and execute quality assurance plans.
β’ Support change management functions for successful product implementation.
β’ Collaborate with the product team to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings.
β’ Utilize data to develop and implement solutions that demonstrate value (e.g., ROI, user impact).
β’ Translate data into meaningful insights and narratives for leadership.
β’ Create visual representations of data using tools like Power BI and Excel.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Information Management, or similar discipline.
β’ In lieu of a degree: 9+ years of relevant experience.
β’ With a degree: 5+ years of experience in a related business area.
β’ Experience writing business cases and defining opportunities with limited data.
β’ Familiarity with Google Analytics, Power BI, Excel.
β’ General understanding of AI and how data supports AI initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience in the utility industry.
β’ Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
β’ Design Thinking experience.
β’ Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent experience.

β’ Strong communication and facilitation skills across all levels of the organization.
β’ Attention to detail and analytical problem-solving.
β’ Ability to manage multiple priorities.
β’ Deep curiosity and a bias toward action.
