Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mosaic Finance Configuration Lead (Senior Project IT Analyst) to join our Mosaic Improvement Programme on a 2-year fixed-term contract. This role will focus on the configuration, optimisation, and ongoing development of the Mosaic Finance module, ensuring the system supports accurate, efficient, and compliant financial processes across Adult and Childrenβs Social Care.
Working closely with our Technical Project Manager and key stakeholders across Finance, IT, and Social Care, you will lead the planning, implementation, and support of multiple system improvements and changes. This is a highly collaborative role requiring both technical expertise and strong service understanding.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Configure and manage the Mosaic Finance module to meet legislative, operational, and financial requirements.
β’ Deliver system improvements and finance-related rollouts in line with programme milestones.
β’ Manage finance system changes through a structured change control process with full documentation.
β’ Collaborate with Finance, IT, and operational teams to translate financial processes into system functionality.
β’ Develop and oversee system testing, including UAT, for all finance configurations.
β’ Maintain high standards of data accuracy, integrity, and financial reporting.
β’ Provide expert input into financial user guidance, training, and documentation.
β’ Proactively monitor system performance and resolve finance-specific issues.
β’ Ensure compliance with financial regulations, data protection, and governance standards.
β’ Champion continuous improvement and remain current on Mosaic finance developments.
About You
You are a detail-driven, solutions-oriented professional with proven experience configuring financial modules within Mosaic or a similar social care finance system. You understand how finance systems support operational delivery and have a strong grasp of public sector finance, ideally within social care.
Youβre comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and can explain complex system behaviour in a clear and structured way. You thrive in change environments and enjoy leading improvements that enhance system value and user experience.
You Will Bring
β’ Significant experience configuring and supporting the Mosaic Finance module or similar systems.
β’ Strong knowledge of social care finance processes and public sector financial regulations.
β’ Demonstrated ability to lead complex system changes and support ongoing configuration.
β’ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
β’ Strong communication and stakeholder management experience.
β’ Understanding of financial data accuracy, audit trails, and reporting requirements.
β’ Experience working across multi-disciplinary teams.
β’ Familiarity with project management methods such as Agile or Prince2.
β’ Commitment to service improvement and user-centred system design.
β’ Awareness of data protection and system security requirements.
