Senior Python Data Engineer Consultant

Ovise has partnered with a global financial organisation that’s modernising its technology and data landscape. They’re seeking an experienced Data Engineering Consultant with a strong background in Python or Java to help design and build scalable, cloud-based data solutions across complex enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance data pipelines and services using Python or Java. • Build and integrate data solutions across APIs, databases, and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS). • Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality data systems. • Contribute to the design and optimisation of enterprise data platforms and analytical environments. • Support migration and modernisation initiatives within a fast-paced Agile function. Core Skills & Experience: • 9+ years of experience in data or software engineering within large-scale environments. • Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS data services (e.g., Data Factory, Glue, Data Lake, Redshift, Synapse). • Strong programming skills in Python or Java, with sound knowledge of data structures and algorithms. • Proficient in SQL, data modelling, and performance tuning. • Comfortable working within Agile delivery frameworks and CI/CD environments.
