Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and event-driven architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing distributed backend systems leveraging Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run, with a solid grasp of asynchronous communication and event orchestration.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Python and GCP SDKs.
Implement event-driven architectures using Pub/Sub and related GCP tools.
Develop and maintain schema design and serialization for event data (Avro, Protobuf, JSON).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design asynchronous workflows and event choreography patterns.
Ensure high reliability, scalability, and performance in distributed systems.
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in Python for backend development.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run.
Deep understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous communication models.
Expertise in event-driven architecture and choreography patterns.
Experience with schema serialization formats such as Avro (and ideally Protobuf or JSON).
Preferred Skills
Experience integrating multiple cloud services in a production environment.
Knowledge of monitoring and optimizing event pipelines for performance and reliability.
