We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer with strong expertise in building scalable ETL solutions and hands-on experience with PySpark, dbt, and SQL. This role involves close collaboration with a globally distributed team to design, develop, and optimize data solutions in support of our investment management business. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem solver, and technical leader who thrives in client-facing environments.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Python, PySpark, dbt, and related frameworks
β’ Write efficient and optimized SQL queries across Oracle and MS SQL Server environments
β’ Collaborate with a global, cross-functional team to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions
β’ Participate in solution design and contribute to architecture discussions
β’ Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver value-driven solutions
β’ Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment are followed
Must-Have Qualifications
β’ Strong Python development with emphasis on object-oriented programming
β’ Hands-on experience with PySpark, dbt, or similar ETL frameworks
β’ Proficiency in SQL, with expertise in Oracle and MS SQL
β’ Experience working in globally distributed teams
β’ Excellent collaboration, communication, and client engagement skills
β’ Ability to contribute to design and architecture decisions
β’ Background in investment management (Asset Management or Wealth Management)
Nice-to-Have Skills
β’ Familiarity with AWS services (S3, EKS, containerization)
β’ Experience with Autosys and Informatica PowerCenter
β’ Knowledge of shell scripting and Unix commands
β’ Exposure to .NET
