Senior Python Engineer - Financial ($50/hr)

About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer with strong expertise in building scalable ETL solutions and hands-on experience with PySpark, dbt, and SQL. This role involves close collaboration with a globally distributed team to design, develop, and optimize data solutions in support of our investment management business. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Python, PySpark, dbt, and related frameworks • Write efficient and optimized SQL queries across Oracle and MS SQL Server environments • Collaborate with a global, cross-functional team to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions • Participate in solution design and contribute to architecture discussions • Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver value-driven solutions • Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment are followed Must-Have Qualifications • Strong Python development with emphasis on object-oriented programming • Hands-on experience with PySpark, dbt, or similar ETL frameworks • Proficiency in SQL, with expertise in Oracle and MS SQL • Experience working in globally distributed teams • Excellent collaboration, communication, and client engagement skills • Ability to contribute to design and architecture decisions • Background in investment management (Asset Management or Wealth Management) Nice-to-Have Skills • Familiarity with AWS services (S3, EKS, containerization) • Experience with Autosys and Informatica PowerCenter • Knowledge of shell scripting and Unix commands • Exposure to .NET
