Senior Python Engineering Consultant

Required Skills & Experience • 12+ years of back-end application development utilizing Python in enterprise environments • Hands-on experience building FastAPI services / REST APIs and backend service layers • Strong background in MongoDB (NoSQL) and data modeling for application-driven use cases • Experience with Azure Microservices Architecture (ADF, cloud-native integrations, service orchestration) • Builds data-driven services/APIs and scalable backend logic, not just ETL pipelines • Strong in pipeline optimization + real-time data delivery for application consumption • AI-Driven Development / Co-Pilot adoption and utilization for day-to-day productivity optimization • Consultant-level presence: proactive communication, accountable, high sense of urgency and proven experience delivering in fast paced, high-visibility environment • Experienced and comfortable working with offshore/international teams • Flexible to work intermittent overtime/weekend, if need be, for Go-Lives Nice to Have Skills & Experience • Databricks • Degree in Software Engineering or Technical Field • Located in Central Time Zone, Texas preferred Job Description Working Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM Central Time Zone Weekly Breakdown: 34 hours heads-down development, 6 hours of meetings (30 Min Scrum Daily, Weekly Grooming and Sprint Planning) Our client is looking for a Sr. Python consultant who operates like a backend software engineer building APIs, enabling real-time data and AI services, and delivering production-ready backend capabilities that power critical business applications, not just pipelines. • Develop and deploy Python/FastAPI-based microservices and APIs • Own end-to-end backend service delivery (design → build → deploy), with heavy hands-on development and performance optimization • Integrate Databricks with Azure services and MongoDB to enable real-time data + AI-driven application functionality
