Skills Required
A Sr. Reporting Analyst provides comprehensive dashboards and reports that help our organization make data-driven decisions; leverage advanced analytical skills and business acumen to distill complex data into clear, concise, and actionable dashboards and reports; develop, implement and deliver data reporting services, including data preparation, analysis, modelling and visualizations. Responsibilities include data preparation, analysis, modeling, and visualization for initiatives such as Fire Recovery, Quality of Life, and other projects. The analyst will also be responsible for creating reports, building dashboards and data models, and administering the PowerBI Platform. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; customer service orientation; Strong analytical & business acumen; Basic skills in regression and association analysis, and the ability to identify outliers, with a foundational grasp of data analysis principles; Solid grasp of database concepts and organization; Excellent time management and organization abilities, with a proven capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; Highly collaborative, yet capable of working independently with focus and self-direction on projects; Meticulous and dedicated to delivering high-quality work; and effective mentor, providing guidance and support to junior analysts .
Experience Required
β’ Five (5) + years of professional experience implementing BI technologies and ArcGIS StoryMaps through data analytics and visualization: Three (3) + years of experience using Power BI to create data models, datasets and reports One (1) year experience administering Power BI Service, Gateway and Capacity Administration One (1) year experience using ArcGIS StoryMaps and ArcGIS API for Python One (1) year experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and Genie which includes data cleaning techniques, including handling missing values and data formatting issues One (1) + years of experience in Python language and SQL programming using datasources like SQL Server, Oracle, and Posgres
Education Required
β’ This classification requires the possession of a Bachelorβs degree in an IT-related or engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. and Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Professional Certificate
Additional Information
β’ California Resident Candidates Only. Work is expected to be mostly REMOTE, and interviews will be conducted via Microsoft TEAMS. Work schedule will be 4/40, 10-hour day within the M-TH work schedule at the discretion of the program manager. Work shift ranges from 7:15am to 6:00pm.
