We are seeking a Senior Salesforce API Solutions Expert to join our growing team in Toronto. This senior role is ideal for a Salesforce professional with deep technical expertise in API integration, enterprise data architecture, and solution design, coupled with strong financial domain experience — including exposure to banking, risk management, compliance, and data governance. Key Responsibilities: • Lead API Strategy & Architecture: • Define and implement scalable API architectures and integration strategies that extend Salesforce capabilities and align with enterprise data and compliance frameworks. • Integration Leadership: • Design, build, and manage integrations between Salesforce and external systems (e.g., core banking, CRM, ERP, risk management tools) using REST, SOAP, and Bulk APIs. • Custom Development & Solution Design: • Develop robust Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) that leverage APIs for automation, analytics, and process optimization. • Data Management & Automation: • Use APIs to manage complex data workflows, streamline financial reporting, and enable process automation across multi-system environments. • Security, Compliance & Governance: • Implement secure authentication (OAuth 2.0, SAML) and align API integrations with financial industry regulations, data protection, and internal governance standards. • Advanced API Utilization: • Work with Salesforce APIs such as: • REST & SOAP APIs – for core data access and integration • Bulk API – for large-scale, asynchronous data processing • Tooling API – for metadata and development automation • Connect REST API – for collaboration and Chatter integrations • Pub/Sub API – for real-time, event-driven solutions • Collaboration & Leadership: • Work closely with product, architecture, and data teams; mentor developers; and contribute to Salesforce API best practices and governance frameworks. Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. • 7+ years of Salesforce development experience, with at least 4 years focused on API integration and architecture. • Proven experience in the financial services domain — working on integrations involving risk analytics, compliance reporting, customer data platforms, or transaction systems. • Proficiency in Apex, LWC, SOQL, REST/SOAP web services, JSON/XML, and middleware tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, etc.). • Deep understanding of Salesforce security, OAuth flows, data models, and event-driven architectures. • Salesforce Integration Architect, Platform Developer II, or Application Architect certification preferred. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
